weird lump has appeared next to the second knuckle of my left hand. it's firm but not hard, and is easy to see. it doesn't seem to hurt. i didn't notice it until about an hour ago when i was scratching my hand, so either i'm really oblivious or it has developed fairly rapidly - it was less than a week ago that i had a small pimple on my hand (not in the same place) and i remember lookig at my hand and thinking "wtf how did i get a pimple there?" and i'm fairly sure i would have noticed a lump of this size (about quarter inch in diameter?).

don't really know what to do with that other than hope it goes away on its own. hmmm.

I have cysts - they hurt like a fresh bruise when you press on them. If this doesn't, then I'm voting wart.

Prof, I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it doesn't go away on its own in a couple of weeks.

It sounds like either a cyst or a wart and nothing worth worrying about.
