I'm working on a long story (novella? Novel? Who knows) in which the narrative goes back and forth between the period in which Holmes begins University and the period in which he begins his investigation into Moriarty's organisation. I'm not very nice though -- I didn't even let poor Holmes know that it is Moriarty who was the man behind the crimes. He is going to be sadly unprepared.
I've actually written two other Holmes fics (both recent), and one Lupin fic (October?). If you are interested they are listed in my memories. And I certainly plan on many more. And thank so much for the comment again; it has reminded me that I keep meaning to download GML onto my computer so I can read it at my leisure (I have very limited actual online time at present).
By the way... the fact that you know way too much about cephalopods... IS AWESOME. *studies scientific illustration*
