goodbye LJ

sad to say goodbye after over thirteen years, but LJ getting rid of HTTPS means the site is no longer a viable platform for me. even though for the past several years my use has been sporadic at best, it's still by far my favourite social media platform i've ever used. i have a lot of great memories and incredibly good friends i made there. but i've now officially disabled cross-posting and i'll probably be taking down most, if not all, of my content and setting up permanent shop here.

anyway, i'm planning on cutting back on some more toxic/time waster platforms and spend more time here in the coming year. i've missed having a place to have actual discussions and to engage with fandom in a fun way so i'm going to try and be the change i want to see in the world.

Me too! On all points! (The one advantage of being confined to an iPad is that, without Tumblr Savior, I have less hesitation about unfollowing people who post very little that interests me.)

(On the other hand, I've discovered Reddit, so.)

i just basically stopped using tumblr altogether, although i have several individual tumblrs i visit and read basically everyday -- yours, vali's, a couple others.

i think i've only visited reddit to read the AMAs with chuck tingle and his son, which were great.
