you should def watch series 8. it is prickly and difficult and extremely intriguing. i am annoyed gatiss had to get in the way once again and waste an entire episode on NOTHING as he usually does, because i want to understand more about this new doctor, and how he is (and isn't) settling into being himself, and how that's reflected in his relationship with clara. i don't understand where it's going and it's not frustrating, it's exciting.
clearly that could all change at ANY MOMENT because, well, doctor who. but for now i am enjoying more than i have in a long time.
