so the guy and i watched "the mark of the rani", and i think this encapsulates most of the story right here:

thanks roflbot
thanks to my partner for that particular line, and also for this exchange we had during the first part:
*dog menaces the sixth doctor and peri*
me: i want that dog to bite his face.
my guy: i want that dog to bite his HAIR.
also i feel like they could have dealt with the industrial revolution in a more concrete way? but the cinematography was nice, and the music was wonderful.
now i have watched a full sixth doctor arc, and listened to several of his audios, and i am still... yeah. however i liked colin baker on the making of documentary, especially when he was talking about anthony ainley. "he wasn't really the kind of guy you's ask down the pub. ...he liked cricket. you could talk to him about that. and also he liked to talk about the master. i engaged him in a few conversations about those things." (/paraphrasing!)
