thank you for the advice and the thoughts. we actually had just tried the wellness brand a couple days before i posted this -- charlie really liked it, until the endoscopy ruined his appetite. but we are now trying to keep him on grain-free food like wellness, since there seems to be evidence that that's very good for cats with IBD.
