thanks for the further info on compensation! when i was talking to the cops they asked me if i needed an ambulance, and thankfully i didn't, but i remember thinking, "fuck, like i could afford an ambulance or an emergency room bill". so that's good info to have for the future anyway (which i hope i will never need, but still).
