(Fun fact: I actually feel safer walking at night in (vaguely) shady neighbourhoods in my city (Strasbourg is pretty tame, really), because there are actual people around, as opposed to the neighbourhood where I live, which is Empty-streets-land extraordinaire as soon as the night falls. Very reassuring, haha.)
