will draw for copyright

hey, emerging authors on my flist, i am totes available to draw the main characters in your next novel to make sure that you hold the copyright on them! for a small fee, obvs.

anyway, i am off to create a tribute sequel to "watchmen", and then sell it for money. it's cool, alan moore and i are both mature adults.

i'd go all holmes and say, "the work is its own reward! ...but i need an advance file of the fic." and then email you saying, "why is there not more porn?"

damn, do you think i could get more people to write the fics i want if i offered to illustrate them? because i would fucking do that. i need more drawing practise incentives anyway.

Yes. It seemed to work for [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang, which had a much higher completion rate than I would have expected.

i was tempted to sign up for the artist section of that ficathon, but i really didn't want to end up getting assigned to a story that i didn't like. lame but true. :(

Not lame, reasonable. I have no art skillz, but I'd imagine that if I got assigned to illustrate a fic that didn't do it for me, I'd feel all guilty and miserable for turning out… something that showed it didn't do it for me.

Plus the bit about having to read the fic, of course.
