dude i have been reading THE HELL out of handysparehand. i would love an AU where nate ended up in this universe instead of the alt and ended up travelling with the doctor, or working for UNIT with martha! i am less keen on the ten and rose travelling while dropping nate off somewhere else because they can't be bothered with him part, just because it seems like backsliding that makes both characters look like immature gits (and JE doesn't exactly do much to not support this possible take on the characters, but what the heck, i don't want to go around writing fanfiction that annoys me).
one thing i was going to say about your fic was that i think it would make much more sense for nate to go in search of donna, if he was going to look for anyone -- and to maybe find martha during that search. still the person he needed without ever knowing beforehand, but nate is ready to acknowledge that, as opposed to the doctor. i have more thoughts, should i just do my full beta, or have you already started writing your new AU?
maybe also sometime we could have nate collaboration? i have been wanting to do something like that for ages, since i read violetisblue's and jonquil's Parallax (http://www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=15225&warning=Adult). i have the sad feeling that embarassingly high percentage of the nate content on the anonmeme is me and you anyway.
