Well, they're all very compelling concepts, and the Holmes/Russell series is one where they all come together beautifully.
I'm working on a long story (novella? Novel? Who knows) in which the narrative goes back and forth between the period in which Holmes begins University and the period in which he begins his investigation into Moriarty's organisation. I'm not very nice though -- I didn't even let poor Holmes know that it is Moriarty who was the man behind the crimes. He is going to be sadly unprepared.

And thank so much for the comment again; it has reminded me that I keep meaning to download GML onto my computer so I can read it at my leisure (I have very limited actual online time at present).
Oh, you're welcome! I'm just thrilled to have read the fic. And I hope you like GML -- it has those themes as well, and was partially inspired by the Holmes/Russell books -- although my OC ended up being even more tortured than Russell.
