I found Talalay's direction a little distracting at times, but honestly, I think that was just her adhering to the show's visual aesthetic.

As for the rest of it: 1) it's Gatiss, so lower expectations appropriately, and 2) how spoiled do you want to be? The thing that annoyed me most is pretty spoilery.
