first day of short-sleeve weather of the year! hurrah! biking for groceries so much more fun when face is not being torn off by below freezing winds.

on way to the store:

me: *riding down the street*
10 year old kid: "Hey yo, can I ride your bike?"
me: "Ha! No, man!"

also saw a man walking his cat. yes, on a leash.

omg dude! that would be so awesome! except... i am moving to albany next month! it's all a bit sudden but the plans were made a few days ago and papers signed. would you have any reason to be in upstate new york this summer? or even the city? cos i would love to hang out! <3

Every time I tried to leash the cats, I was informed that this was Not Popular. That guy's cat is obviously way more tolerant than mine.

I'm with you about biking weather and the store! There were plenty of times this winter when I wanted something but couldn't stand the thought of riding out in the cold and ice.

I walk my cat on a leash. Just around my own yard so far, though, since I won't let him run loose. I don't know how he'd feel about taking a stroll down the street. He might not be confident enough for that.

I saw a guy walk his parrot on a leash the other day. Or, rather, my daughter did. She spotted it out of the car window as we were driving some place.

that is awesome! back when i was wee my dad knew this guy who had an iguana. when the iguana was smaller he'd sit on dude's shoulders as they walked around town. then later when he got too big for that dude would put him on a leash and walk him around town. i loved that iguana.
