nate + jackie = LOVE

naaaaaaate!

what is mah favourite bit of the doctor who finale? cos there was lots to enjoy, especially if you turn it off fifteen minutes before the end and pretend the rest didn't happen. well, there are many parts BUT HERE IS ONE OF THEM. IN MACRO FORM:

obviously the best thing is NATE. also known as handy, handjob, sparky, 10.5, 10 II, my-genocidal-half-clone-whose-hair-isn't-as-good-as-mine (that's ten's nickname for him), and probably some others i am missing. but for some reason my favourite name for him is nate.

and i LOVE when nate and jackie step off the TARDIS at bad wolf bay and have the best conversation ever:

JACKIE + NATE = LOVE

actual dialogue:

jackie: "I was pregnant, do you remember? Had a baby boy."
nate: "Ah, brilliant! What'd you call him?"
jackie: "Doctor."
nate: [looks unspeakably touched] "...Really?"
jackie: "No, you plum. He's called Tony."
nate: [tries not to look TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED]

she calls him "plum" and tricks him with her clever ways! what more do you want, people? start shipping them!

argh i must finish my nate/jackie epic:

"Are you gay?" she asked, spreading jam over a scone.

He looked up, mouth full of breakfast. "Umf." He swallowed. "Depends on what you mean."

"What do you think it means?"

"Well, do you mean, am I gay because I'm sexually attracted to men? Or am I gay because I'm sexually attracted to women?"

"Why would being attracted to women make you gay?"

"Well, I am half Donna. Two fifths? Something. Anyway, it's not a negligible amount."

Jackie considered this for a moment.

"Does that make me gay at all, then?"

He raised his eyebrows at her, suggestively.

"I don't know, does it?"

in conclusion: NATE/JACKIE FOREVAH
