Planet of the Spiders

Exchange during Planet of the Spiders last night:

Abbot: "We are all apt to surrender ourselves to domination -- even the strongest of us."
Doctor: (looking strangely at the Abbot): "... Do you mean me?"
[Me: *explodes*]

Thank you, Jon Pertwee!

Also: Hovercraft chases = awesome.

Also again: I had Dr. Who dreams last night. Thank you, brain!

I don't know whether you're UK based or elsewhere, but on Supernova* the other night, Pertwee's head overlaid on a nebula was mistaken for the face of God.

* Supernova being an innacurate but amusing comedy about a hapless British astronomer at an Australian observatory.

The fact that BBC (plus occasional ventures by ITV and channel four) programming makes up about 80% of my television viewing content would seem to indicate my presence in the British sphere, but sadly I get most of that from watching public broadcasting and borrowing tapes from the library. This also explains the fact that I have never been able to see The Mighty Boosh (http://www.themightyboosh.com/) despite my strong desire to do so. Their new website sucks, and I've never seen their show, but I listened to their radio programme and it was... pretty amazing.

Also: Jon Pertwee's head being mistaken for god sounds... weirdly acceptable. His hair was always so soft and styled looking! I do wonder how his head was overlaid onto this nebula, though.
